We stayed in cabin 3 and when we came to check in, the courtesy and warmth extended by Giovanna was brilliant; the way she explained the facilities and what we could expect for our stay was simply outstanding.

Although Lakedale is just hours from our home in Seattle, it felt as though we were worlds away. Our stay was just what this busy family needed – a place to reconnect, to catch up on much-needed sleep, learn chess, and then enjoy playing in the lovely lodge, watch movies, hot tub, barbecue, and enjoy the beauty of our surroundings. Cabin #3 would be our first choice again – although those new Canvas Cabins look interesting too.

My only regret is that no one was interested in the resort’s canoes or in renting fishing equipment – so I had to satisfy my cravings for the water via the fisherman who caught trout right next door.

Very quiet, restful place. Thanks for keeping the native plant habitat. The cabin was easy to be comfortable in, rustic but modern. San Juan Island provided many days of hiking, photography, exploring and relaxing.

Very peaceful, very quiet. Saw a bald eagle, a camel, and a seal! We went out on the lake in a canoe. You look under the water and it looks like a forest, it is amazing. I love it here.

How nice a place this is, it makes me feel like I’m in a fairy tale – such a difference from Tokyo! Relaxing night by the lake, listening to birds sing, time goes by so fast. I was very happy. I’m going back to Japan with the irreplaceable treasure (memory).

My husband and I are in the Navy stationed out of Bangor, WA. My parents came to visit us all the way from South Carolina and we decided to explore here for the weekend. The cabin was the perfect getaway – very relaxing – just what the four of us needed! This has been such a fun place to spend time to be together and see some gorgeous countryside as well!

Aloha to all! We had a great relaxing family reunion. The “kids” loved the mopeds/carts, and we “adults” loved the hikes, watching eagles, sing-a-longs, and games.

Our three-night stay here at Lakedale Resort has been great. The cabin was so cozy and comfortable and we enjoyed spending our nights reading and watching movies in the homey living room. The scenery around the resort is beautiful – being able to look out of our window and see fish jumping in the lake!

This is the most joyous place in the world, oh yes, and this cabin is so magical!

My fiancée and I are considering Lakedale as our wedding place – it is on the top of our list. I just took a running dive on to the bed. There is no comforter as welcoming and comfy as those blue and white checked flannel comforter covers from heaven! And for great meditation and hiding places, those huge wardrobes are amazing! You can certainly find any Narnia in those wardrobes. I’m 35 years old and I feel like a 9-year-old girl. I walk up and down those wooden steps differently every time! How about that Royal Red couch? Oh, the snuggling never ends! We love it here and never want to go.

I love this cabin! The décor is beautiful, and my favorite room was the living/dining/kitchen. Every night I enjoyed some campfires in the fire pit and toasting marshmallows! I really like the view from my window (the upstairs room) and I really enjoyed sitting in one of the yellow chairs by the fireplace, reading my book. I really can’t wait to come back, and I hope that I will be coming back!

My son and I recently visited Lakedale Resort on San Juan Island. The trip, including the facility, was one of the best I had seen in a long time. My son enjoyed the fishing at the lake and proximity to the general store, while I enjoyed the silence and the comfortable beds in the canvas cabins. The staff was extremely friendly and hospitable. We look forward to returning next year!

We recently spent a blissful weekend fancy-camping in one of your new tent cabins and thought you might appreciate some feedback. First, you need to come up with a catchy name for these things as they're too nice to be called tents and they're too cool to be called cabins. They're like cabins with soft, glowing walls and furniture so nice that we looked at the labels so that we might duplicate the bed at home. I was a little disappointed that we didn't get some rain in the night ... I wanted to hear raindrops on the roof. Please forward my compliments to the company that produced your tents -- the design, workmanship and materials are top-notch. We loved waking to the chorus of birds and look forward to our next visit.
